FREE COMIC BOOK Day is Fast approaching and we have already locked down some excellent entertainment. Take a look at these local artists apprearing right here at I Want MORE Comics!

Current Sales:

  • Hold slot customers: can choose up to 5 FCBD books.
  • Walk-in customers: can choose up to 3 FCBD books.
  • Hold slot customers will receive sale prices from Wednesday, May 3rd through May 6th as a thank you.
  • Back Issues (comic books older than 8 months not on the new comic rack display): $5.00 and less are $1.00.
  • Comics between $6.00 and $19.00 will be: HALF OFF!
  • Books over $20.00 such as Gold, Silver and Wall display comics are: 25% off sticker price. 
  • Trade Paperbacks and Hard Covers are: 25% off sticker price. 
  • Pop Vinyl Figures are: 15% off.
  • T-Shirts are: $15.00. 
  • Posters, Glass Ware and Wallets are: 20% off.
  • Statues, Lead Figures, and the Star Trek mini-ships are: 25% off sticker price. 
  • Board Games and Dice Masters Game are: 10% off. 

Supplies, 50 cent comics and grab bags are not on sale. Magic the Gathering sealed product and singles are not on sale. Rack books with the current comics on them (8 months and newer) and comics in hold slots are not on sale. 

Also, we will not be opening any new hold slots from Monday, May 1st until Sunday, May 7th.

 Stan Yan

The master of the Zombicature and the Ponicature. Stan Yan grew up in Denver, Colorado and went to school at the University of Colorado in Boulder where he got his bachelor’s degree in accounting. In 2005, Yan has gave up on financial security and become a full-time freelance cartoonist, illustrating SubCulture for Ape Entertainment and Action Lab Danger Zone, creating comic strips for the financial and sales industry, drawing zombie caricatures, and picking up odd illustration and teaching jobs when folks are feeling agonizing pity for him. Stan teaches summer camps, after school programs, workshops, and helped to develop a degree program in graphic storytelling as an adjunct faculty member at the Community College of Aurora. He writes and colors the REVVVelations webstrip.

Joe Becker

Graphic artist by day and Illustrator by night, Joe Becker keeps himself busy. He and his wife have three boys who are full of energy.

Colorado's native son works primarily with pencil, ink, markers as well as digitally. Joe's art crosses multiple genres but his passion lies within the superheroes, science fiction, and steampunk genres. Combining genres and giving his art a "humanistic touch" sets him apart.

Joe is highly educated in the art of graphic design and drawing, taught by many of the finest professors in Colorado. He spent time honing his craft on the Western Slope as well as in downtown Denver. Becker's work has been viewed worldwide, but he is devoted to building Colorado's local comic art community. A regular at many of the local conventions, he enjoys interacting with fans and artists alike.

Joe, AKA Oil Can, is an active member of the weekly art collective, "Red Team GO!" and is a founding member of "The Grave Robbers Society," a philanthropic collegiate art group. In his spare time, Joe enjoys writing self bios in the third person. He can be reached at @ThatJoeBecker or

Red Team Go

Speaking of Red Team Go, we will have members from RTG here on Saturday. Combining 2 parts alchemy and 3 parts amazing, Red Team Go! brings weekly chaos to order in the form of art and adventure. As a collective of local artists focusing on the comic book, anime and illustration, these men & women work hard and have a good time creating the artwork of Tomorrow…Today! Traversing this great country of ours, Red Team Go! brings creativity, a great attitude and a growing cult following to any appearance that they are at.

Jay Peteranetz

Jay Peteranetz is the artist for Magicians Must Die, the world’s first comic book produced on a deck of playing cards for Handlordz, LLC. The limited edition first printing comic deck, title MMD, sold 2000 copies within a week and a half. Jay Peteranetz is also the exclusive artist for the SuperHeroMetal band out of Germany called the Grailknights. He has done two t-shirts as well as web design and an upcoming album cover. He is the artist of The Adventures of Toothy! an online comic strip about Toothy, the mascot of Comfort Dental. Jay holds an MFA in sequential art and teaches Graphic Storytelling at the Community College of Aurora, and foundation courses at the Art Institute of Colorado in downtown Denver. Magicians Must Die was masterminded by De'vo vom Schattenreich, who is a World Record Holder, manipulation legend, director, producer, author, musician, and consultant. De'vo owns Handlordz LLC and has created some of the most limited and amazing playing cards and related products in the world. He is a slight of hand expert and the world's foremost expert on card and other types of manipulation. He has performed all over the world for celebrities and DVs, and was a special performer at the American Embassy in Brussels Belgium. De'vo co-founded the art form of card manipulation separate from magic in 2001.

Kevin Gentilcore

Illustrator of the wicked and weird Kevin Gentilcore and is seamless straights allow the eye to take in absolute carnage in the most delectable manner. Monster Mug Shots to Sci-Fi Adventures, Kevin's talents seem to have close to zero limits. Meet him and enjoy his captivating art work with Creephouse Comics at this years Free Comic Book Day!

Robert Elrod

Robert Elrod is a self-taught artist who works with a variety of mediums across multiple genres. His artwork has appeared on the covers of several novels and anthologies from small-press horror authors and publishers. Robert has contributed art to publications by Bluewater Comics, Creephouse Comics, Creator‰Ûªs Edge Press, Abandoned Comics, Angry Dog Press, British Fantasy Society, Lovecraft eZine, This Is Horror, Permuted Press, Ragnarok Publications, and ZED Presents. He has self published comics and has contributed to anthologies from Books of the Dead Press.

Some of his earliest art influences include Frank Frazetta, Bernie Wrightson, Michael Kaluta, Jeffrey Jones, Esteban Moroto, Jose Gonzalez, Sanjulian, Basil Gogos, Rudy Nebres, Alfredo Alcala and many many more.

Colorado Batman & Batmobile

Since 2005 this affilite of Colorado Movie Cars and Z Car Club of Colorado has been protecting the streets as our very own Colorado Batman & Batmobile. Set to appear for the loyal citizens of I Want More Comics. 

Wonder Z


Just recently branching out on her own Wonder Z has been a staple in CO for a few years now. She will be availabe for photos and laughter this FCBD at I want more comics 

Colorado Movie Cars

Since 2008 with nearly 60+ vehicals within their network, Colorado Movie Cars is one of the largest Film and T.V. Replica Car Clubs in exsistance. They will be stopping by periodically through out the day. See if you can see some of your favorites!! Follow them on Twitter
